
THAT was the burn for one of my boot campers last night. WOW! We sweat, we work hard and WE MAKE IT HAPPEN. We stretch our boundaries, push our bodies and prove each time that we are stronger than the last time. We come when we are tired and achy and when we have events to go to afterward. Our friends have come to understand that Tues/Thurs at 5:30 is OUR time and to expect us to come sweaty if they're doing something later that evening. Better yet, some of our friends have joined us and found a "new" version of themselves along the way. Excuses aren't in our vocabulary. We push each other and compete with the current best version of ourselves. We CHOOSE to commit to the class instead of the couch. Are you ready to do the same? You've GOT this!
The amazing members of my boot camp are doing such an awesome job changing their lives from the INSIDE out! One has lost 16lbs and 20 inches in the four months she's been doing the class and watching her food intake! Two others have lost 5 inches in the past month (one of those happened in just a couple weeks)!!! What I LOVE about these numbers is not only are they losing inches and weight, but these individuals are growing in STRENGTH and changing their LIFESTYLES.
I'm not here to tell you I have the secret. Honestly, there isn't one. There isn't a secret or magic formula or one elusive plan that is going to help you lose weight. Let's be honest with ourselves and decide once and for all there is NO magic pill because if there was a safe pill to take, everyone would lose, there would be no side effects and we would all be at our ideal weight. What I have discovered, however, is there are three P's the most successful people use to reach their goals. Those three P's, Planning, Persistence and Patience are common threads among those who have reached and maintained and sometimes exceeded their weight loss/fitness goal.
